hi everyone, it’s dorothy gale from kansas, and i nominate the wicked witch of the west for the ice bucket challenge
People who don’t like Emma Woodhouse as a character because: she’s too rich for anything to really go that wrong in her life, and she’s an insufferable know-it-all, and she meddles in the love-lives of her friends because ‘she knows best’?
Idk man, that’s pretty much Mr Darcy though. And he’s on merchandise tote bags. People seem to like him just fine.
Started and caught up on Frankenstein MD, and can I just say that subtlety is not PD’s strong suit when it comes to their MC’s flaws—especially Emma and Victoria. It’s like they’re screaming at you.
"EMMA ALWAYS THINKS SHE’S RIGHT BUT SHE’S NOT."
"VICTORIA WILL GO TO ANY LENGTHS TO SCIENCE—EVEN WHEN SHE SHOULDN’T SCIENCE."
It’s also kind of obvious with Lizzie, but not so early and not as heavy, so it makes watching still enjoyable, even if they do hit you over the head a couple of times that Lizzie’s judgmental.
But idk, man. Victoria’s development is like Emma—wayyyy too much.
You either love The Princess Bride or you haven’t seen it
